First we argue for the extension of the actionist view, which has been developed in the domain of low-level perception/action, to natural language on the basis that the motivating phenomena are parallel. We then show that the relevant natural language phenomena include both semantic/pragmatic and syntactic issues and, on this basis, call for a dynamic conception of the `grammar' that integrates both conceptualisation and syntactic licensing under uniform formal assumptions operating at the level of agent coordination rather than intra-individual mechanisms.", booktitle = "Dialogue and Perception - Extended papers from DaP2018", editor = "Christine Howes and Simon Dobnik and Ellen Breitholtz", pages = "12--27", publisher = "GUPEA", title = "{A}ctionism in syntax and semantics", url = "http://www.christinehowes.com/papers/Gregoromichelaki.etal_DaP_2020.pdf", year = "2020", }
